New Archiving Workflow
Content archiving now requires approval to ensure better governance and prevent accidental deletions. Restricted and group editors will no longer be able to archive content independently; instead, you will need to submit an archive request through the general workflow process, similar to any other publishing change.

File Replacement
Finally, you can upload and replace existing files and images. Replacing files is super helpful when updating existing documents or images, as it works globally without breaking links or needing redirects.

Article Enhancements
- New “Aside” Component
Users can now add bonus content to articles like contact info, editor’s notes, or additional links, using the new Aside component. Aside sections create a dedicated space for supplementary information that is separate from your main article body. No need to update past articles - use this for future content when needed.
Learn more about “Asides” - New Article Eyebrows
Articles now automatically display contextual eyebrows (like “Bloomberg School” or “Department of Biostatistics”) to help readers quickly identify the source. These are programmatically generated based on your article type and department tags - no additional work required from you. - Enhanced Sidebar Navigation
A new “More from the Bloomberg School” sidebar automatically appears with relevant links based on your content. Articles will show links to Headlines and department pages, news releases link to the Newsroom, and statements include links to more statements - again, all managed automatically through your existing tags.
Coming Soon - Two Factor Authentication
Targeting a Late July Launch
Soon, website users will need to use two-factor authentication to log in and edit content on PublicHealth.JHU.edu. Most systems at JHU now use multi-factor authentication for enhanced security. For example, it is necessary to access Employee Self Service (ESS), our E210 forms, or the VPN client, so this will not be a significant change for most of you. The Whiting School has a great primer on this process if you have not already set it up.
